and the world is like an apple, whirling silently in space

Round, like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel.
Never ending or beginning,
On an ever spinning wheel
Like a snowball down a mountain
Or a carnival balloon
Like a carousell that's turning
Running rings around the moon

Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on its face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind

Like a tunnel that you follow
To a tunnel of its own
Down a hollow to a cavern
Where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps revolving
In a half forgotten dream
Or the ripples from a pebble
Someone tosses in a stream.

Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on its face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind

Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly
Was it something that you said
Lovers walking along the shore,
Leave their footprints in the sand
Is the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand

Pictures hanging in a hallway
And a fragment of a song
Half remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong
When you knew that it was over
In the autumn of goodbyes
For a moment
You could not recall the color of his eyes

Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning,
On an ever spinning wheel
As the images unwind
Like the circle that you find
In the windmills of your mind

This song used to freak me out when I was a kid, specifically because of the subject line.

In unrelated news, playing Mass Effect better. Finally got past the bit on Feros that had been bugging me by basically mowing the geth down with the Mako. It was hilarious. I also did a bit I didn't even know was possible, which was helping out the colonists (and it made me feel happy because last time I was all, "whut?", and I didn't even know you could help them).

Geth stalkers are nearly as annoying as Husks (because they won't stay still and let me kill them).

Aw man, Kaidan was awesome before I got wiped out at one point. He nearly took down a geth armature all by himself. This is a thing that has a regular attack that is a one hit kill, no matter how strong you are.

And then I died horribly, so it didn't matter *sigh*.

This is the most addictive game I've found in a while. And to think, I wasn't going to ever play it! OMG WAT.

Still drawing. Need to scan some more of it before Friday (maybe tomorrow!) since I only have one piece of drew-it-in-5-minutes fanart (I do have bad doodles of my Shepard (who, by the way, is now called Guinevere*), but they're awaiting digital inking, and...there are no low-res versions. There could be, but the world doesn't want to see them. Trust me. (Because I can fix things with digital inking. I could redraw/retransfer/whatever, but I've had a skinful of that recently).

I should probably end this entry here, since I have bog all else to say.

*Yeah, I know I said I wasn't going to call her Jennifer again, but...I tried and tried to think of another girl name I like, and there aren't many. So here I am, being pretty unoriginal...
