Guess who's got two thumbs and now owns a copy of Maggie Stiefvater's Raven Cycle tarot cards?

Oh yeah, that would be me,,,

It's kind of weird, though, because I don't actually really like much of her art (and I have mixed feelings about her writing), but I love tarot cards/symbology, and I liked the Raven Cycle enough that I wanted this set, but couldn't afford to buy it at full price or when it first came out.

Welp.

A copy turned up at work, so I knew I had to have it. So I did. (I discovered it by accident - I was looking through the CDs, and it was underneath a heap of them. I think someone had thought it was a box set, and put it in by mistake).

I finished reading Blackberry Wine. It was okay? I wanted it to be more supernatural/urban fantasy than it was, but it's described as magical realism, so what I got was all I was going to get, if you see what I mean? Also I need to stop expecting (more) fantastical elements from fiction that's not outright fantasy, because this is not the first time this has happened (and probably won't be the last). Anyway, I wasn't disappointed with it in the end, but I wouldn't rush to rec it to a friend.

I'm now reading The Little Book of Hygge, and OMFG it's one of the most patronising books I've ever read. The writer just sounds so fucking smug that I want to punch him through the book.

(Also now confirmed that I knew what "hygge" is all along, and didn't need a smug Dane to tell me).

I was going to put some tea reviews here, but it turns out I already reviewed them. So I will have to go and cook my dinner instead (probably a good idea, since I am feeling hungry already).
