if the wound is not mine

Been playing Persona 2. Am just about to go into Mu Continent (I'm sure it took me longer than this before, but I remember that I followed a walkthrough the first time, and it may have been all "do x, y, z first because results!"*)

I forgot how frustrating the bomb shelter is *throws things* I mean, I kind of didn't, but I kind of did? I knew you had to keep going around in circles until everyone figured out that there were loopholes in the rumour that you couldn't escape but jeebus it took me all afternoon? It didn't help that I kept going back on myself at points. As a consequence, I think I'm over-levelled (I keep forgetting how to chat up demons, and thus most attempts at contact end in them getting angry. As a result, not everyone has new persona**).

Though over-levelled is no bad thing, since usually I'm the opposite. (I honestly don't know why I play RPGs sometimes. I hate constant battles. I hate boss fights. I hate escort missions, and I hate being given the run around by other characters).

I spent more time chatting to NPCs, though (rooting out rumours! I haven't found many more, though). As a consequence, one of them told me about Tatsuya Sudou (and they were all like, "THIS IS DEAD CREEPY YOU KNOW! HE ALMOST HAS YOUR NAME!"*** and I didn't know he was mentioned before he turned up, if you see what I mean? (I'm trying to be vague even though this is under a spoiler cut and it's not working!)

ANYWAY.

I also fought Hanako, and then found a student in Eikichi's school who told me about another toilet demon that I subsequently fought and beat, and I feel like this is some kind of running theme (although we don't go into any other schools, so maybe not). Second guy gave me FIVE SOMAS for kicking his demon's arse. Those things are 40,000 yen each!

(Fighting toilet demons is not necessary to advance the plot, however. Getting lost in an underground dungeon is).

So, like I say, at Mu Continent. I suspect Lisa gets kidnapped/or whatever it is about now.

Another thing I'd totally forgotten is that I absolutely ship Lisa and Eikichi. I wouldn't normally, but the way those two yell at each other...they're like an old married couple already ;) Also it's too funny not to.

~

*On that note, I had a rumour to spread with two options and I think I chose the better of the two, but I do recall that you have to be careful which rumours you spread.

**I totally didn't realise for a long time that you could switch personae out, or that they stopped levelling after a certain point. Although that's nowt new, that also happened in P3 and 4.

***Not if I'd called Tatsuya something else, he wouldn't have**** :p

****It turns out the Dev Team Thinks of Everything! If you rename Tatsuya, this bit of dialogue doesn't occur. OMFG
