I started replaying FFIX, and am currently about an hour in - when I left we had just crashed in the forest. I haven't played this game in about five years, so it's about time I tried to beat it. I did get to the final boss the first time, but couldn't beat him. So. Trying again!
(I did finish FFXII; I've updated my finished games list (but not my backloggery???) but I just haven't posted the rest of the notes here. I might make an amnesty post for it some time soon or something).
One of the things I love about this game is the people with the random animal heads (or are they meant to be anthro characters? Given Puck is a rat and Freya's...also a rat? TVT says Word of God says they are but you can't really tell?????) But then again, given I've loved Ancient Egypt since my childhood, this is probably not a surprise. I think my favourite is Hippaul (well, it is right now) because he's the easiest to spot and he looks ridiculous. (I think I also saw someone with a bird head, but now I'm not sure).
I was going to give everyone silly names, but when it came to confirm Zidane's name, I couldn't think of anything stupid enough, so everyone is sticking with default names, boringly. (I am SO going to do FFVII with everyone called Sephiroth soon, though, I reckon. I haven't played it FOR YEARS and I need amusing. Huh. Maybe I should've called everyone Kuja. Too late to start now, though).
Also yes, Vivi needs all the hugs.
