I bought myself £15 of credit for the Xbox, and I have downloaded Kasumi for ME2 :D

Now I can't make up my mind whether to download Leviathan or Javik for ME3. I think Leviathan, because DUDE I WANT TO PLAY IT SO BADLY. I will buy Javik when I have some more cash.

(Actually I could afford Citadel, BUT I MADE PROMISES TO MYSELF ABOUT WHAT I'D GET).

I sensibly am saving the rest so that I can put it towards a tablet. Which will take forever to save up for, but never mind! I am remaining positive!

I also bought two video games! I wasn't going to buy ANY! Or I was going to buy Ass Creed! But I ended up wavering again about it, and ended up with The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, and Red Dead Redemption.

I am playing Oblivion right now and I am thinking about giving up because holy cow it's boring. I've been playing for five hours, I've done one quest that isn't the main one, and I am BORED OUT OF MY TREE. The main quest isn't that gripping, so I think I will probably take it back (I won't manage to get back to the shop for a 28 day return, but I can swap it for something else, more than likely. MAYBE ASS CREED??????)

The environments are nice enough, I like the weather effects, and I like the way passage of time works. I also like how the environment changes around an Oblivion gate.

But it's not enough to keep me playing, you know?

(Also I have issues related to the faces/facial animation and find them really creepy and off-putting. So obviously, that doesn't help).

As for Red Dead Redemption, I'd never given that a second though before, but discovered it's set in 1911, which is the arse end of the Wild West. And I loves me some Wild West and associated tropes, so that sold it to me. I haven't played any of it yet because, as you may well know, shooters are not my thing (have you seen me play Mass Effect? You don't want to. I will make you cringe in pain), so leaving it for a little while. Hope it will be at least all right :)

(Maybe I will play it at the weekend).

I babysat my nephew this morning for a couple of hours, and I honestly don't know which one of us had more fun (yes I am 12). He's at the age now where he wants books read to him, and I read to him about five times (although one book twice - he didn't let me finish it the second time because obviously my reading voice was terrible. I don't know about you guys, but reading to kids will never not be weird and vaguely embarrassing even if there's no-one else around). We also built a lot of towers with blocks. And did you know wooden blocks hurt worse than legos if you step on them? Because they do.

(Aw man, I might have to take The Day I Swapped My Dad For Two Goldfish next time I go. Although I don't know if he'll stay sitting still for all of that, because compared to the stories I read today, it's MASSIVE).
