My bro and nephew came to visit yesterday, and that was super cool. Nephew is now seven (SEVEN!) months old, and is currently in the stage where he rolls about from his back to his front, and then pushes himself up on his hands. Last time I saw him (a few weeks ago), he barely had the strength to hold himself up, so was really angry all the time. Now he's improved (obviously), but I don't think he understands why all the adults are so pleased with him and keep applauding him and making happy noises, though.
He also will turn his head to look at you if you call his name, and that's the first time I've ever seen him do that and MAN I AM SO PROUD.
(I realise that all babies do this, but this baby is my relation, and thus he is the Best Baby Ever).
(Also sometimes he rolls from his back to his front, and then back again, which is also super impressive. He tends to get annoyed when the adults (mostly me, yesterday) won't just let him get on and do it).

Since people on my flist seem to be reading/wanting to read it at the moment, I got Delusions of Gender by Cordelia Fine out of the library. Also I have Opinions About Gender, and I want to see if the author has the same ones or not (heh).
I don't know that I'll sit down and read it page by page (I am still having attention problems with EVERYTHING, but especially books), but I've flipped through it and some parts caught my eye, so.

Also P.S. it has been nearly three years since I last self-harmed and that's the longest I have ever managed, and I am pretty damn pleased with myself.
