I liked Event Horizon, but was so incredibly creeped out by the eyes-gouged-out scenes! They gave me nightmares! And also kept me from watching the movie ever since. Maybe I wouldn't find them as bad nowadays, but I can't bring myself to find out. Which is sad, because it was a good movie and I believe it had quite some influence on later genre movies, despite getting slammed by the critics.
