and i don't know what i'm scared of
Until the 9th of Feb, you can download the tavern songs from DA:I for free! It's totally legit and everything! here
They included the sheet music as well, so just imagine I linked to a .gif of Rikku doing that dog paddle thing. Also I've yet to hear one of them all the way through or even clearly (but I blame that on my TV rather than DA:I's sound or my ears).
So. In the spirit of sharing!
Meanwhile, I finally managed to complete Vivienne's quests. The one for the wyvern is heart-breaking. I'm ambivalent in how I feel about Vivienne, because her beliefs re: the Circle are different to mine, but also because I find her quite condescending (that said, her banter with Iron Bull is hilarious). But honestly? UGH MY HEART.
(I take it there is no way to save Bastien - his relatives say as much. You're also able to give Vivienne an ordinary wyvern's heart which, knowing the outcome of the quest, ugh how could you do that).
Now working on bloody warden remnants for bloody Blackwall (because, like an idiot, I took him back to Skyhold to judge him myself, and decided to turn him over to the wardens when this is done). I've managed to acquire my second keep (right next to a sulphur pit. NICE).
Cassandra has the best reaction to seeing a dragon - we were traipsing around the Western Approach, and one flew overhead, and all I heard was, "Please tell me we are not going to fight that thing!"
(Iron Bull on the other hand is like, OH WOW COOL DRAGON THIS GON BE AWSM).
(Me, I am all like, FUCK NO).
I am so, so not ready for dragons. Ever. I'm totally playing the wrong game.
I am actually at the end of the game now. It does not require power to activate. I had 30+ power, so I went off into the Emerald Graves (I might have a look at Emprise du Lion before I finish the game as well).
Dorian's personal quest didn't trigger, but it's a known bug apparently. Talking of whom! I managed to get through all his dialogues and this one time when I said bye, he replied, "I do enjoy watching you leave." and I thought nothing of it. Until about three hours later when I was like, YOU CHEEKY BASTARD HOW DARE YOU.
So really I've not done much of anything much except Flemeth. Did not see THAT coming (although now it proves everyone right who said she was up to something and oooh don't trust her blah blah blah). (I mean, I knew Flemeth was in it, because I think she has a contractual obligation ;) ) but the reveal was certainly a surprise.

Other than that, I spent today plinky plonkying about learning some more music theory. It makes more sense now! I don't know why I was so confused about intervals! But I am still stuck on the part of how I get actual music from this (I'll get there. Eventually. I'm going to get my keyboard out and plink plonk on that, because I think making the noise works better for me than placing notes and hoping it sounds OK).
And I got LMMS to sort of work how I want it to! I find the piano roll horrible and confusing, and I wish you could rearrange where the keyboard is shown, because up the side of the window makes no sense to me (even though I see why it's put like that). So now I have this horrible thing with a REALLY annoying drum beat, but hey! it's totally a thing! Now I just have to noodle around some more, and build on it, and see if I can get it to go where I want it to.
