I was hoping to have had a very small fic written and ready to post, except that the characters insisted on talking to each other, and not about anything I'd intended when I started writing. Also it is in a fandom I have never written in before but, as usual, sod all happens in it. And I know of exactly one person on the internet who will read it (not that that bothers me).
And I totally wasn't going to mention it at all, because now I bet I don't finish it ever.
(D'aww. There are exactly 12 Wallander fics on ff.net. Small fandom is small!

Meanwhile, regarding The 4 Heroes of Light (spoilers are inherent):
Buy fire-resistant shields from, I think, Urbeth. Get Leafra (or even -ga, if you have the spends) from Arbor. Make three of your four characters black mages (my fourth is a permanent white mage right now), and whale on Belphegor with that. It will work - although it may take a while - primarily because it's non-elemental, so you don't need to bother with all the random element changing blah at all. \o/
I'd post about Asmodeus, but that I haven't actually beaten him yet (I need protection vs. Break because my white mage keeps dying thanks to that, and no-one else knows Esuna).

Do you feel like a poem? I feel like a poem.
Song
Go and catch a falling star,
Get with child a mandrake root,
Tell me where all past years are,
Or who cleft the devil's foot,
Teach me to hear mermaids singing,
Or to keep off envy's stinging,
And find
What wind
Serves to advance an honest mind.
If thou be'st born to strange sights,
Things invisible to see,
Ride ten thousand days and nights,
Till age snow white hairs on thee,
Thou, when thou return'st, wilt tell me,
All strange wonders that befell thee,
And swear,
No where
Lives a woman true and fair.
If thou find'st one, let me know,
Such a pilgrimage were sweet;
Yet do not, I would not go,
Though at next door we might meet,
Though she were true, when you met her,
And last, till you write your letter,
Yet she
Will be
False, ere I come, to two, or three.
- John Donne
(I prefer this with the original wonky spelling, but that makes it harder to read).
