Right now I have a cold, so 2013 didn't end well, and 2014 didn't start well. But we can only go upwards from here, right?

I think 2013 was a pretty average year for me, to be honest. Nothing amazing happened to me, but nothing really bad did, either. I covered the goals I'd set out to do: knitting socks and baking bread. I had more disasters with the bread than the socks, but never mind. It didn't put me off - it actually made me more determined to get it right consistently. I also learnt a few more kitchen related things, including how to make cheesecake. I didn't bake as many cakes or biscuits, but that's OK.

This year I'm going to aim to keep going with learning German. I'm really enjoying it, and it's making me feel productive. I don't know what else I'm going to do. I feel like there should be something else, but I don't know what right now. I'll think about it.

Hope y'all have a lovely 2014, because you deserve it :)

ETA: It seems that last year I made actual resolutions, and stuck to none of them! Business as usual, then! (I didn't think I'd made resolutions any more because it was pointless, but what do you know. Stopping that RIGHT NOW).

Failing at a kitchen experiment always makes me want to do better next time. >>; even if it is expensive and frustrating to do again lol.

Cheesecake requires skill. I'm glad you've taken to learn it ^^ IT'S A DELICIOUS SUCCESS WHEN YOU MAKE IT.
